Origin Story:

In a small Cambodian village, a seed of hope was planted when Selah Harper’s grandmother made a life-altering decision. Driven by love and determination, she took Selah from her mother and brought her to the United States, believing this act of courage could offer a life beyond the hardships they faced. While this journey carried the promise of a brighter future, it came with its own shadows of pain, loss, and resilience.

​By the age of 15, Selah had lived through the trials of many lifetimes. Taken from her mother. Raised in a refugee camp. Endured all types of unimaginable abuse. With limited English skills and unshakable determination, she left the family to find peace, and safety. Selah found herself sleeping in cars, train stations, and dumpster dived for foods. Yet, even as a single teen mom, she refused to let her circumstances define her. Driven by pain and resilience, she built a life of triumph, becoming a symbol of success and a pillar of strength for her children.

​But life’s storms didn’t cease. One after another, Selah experienced deep loss, heartbreak, and an abusive narcissistic  relationship that drained her emotionally and financially. This dark chapter triggered the buried childhood trauma and spiraled her into depression. Isolated and consumed by pain, Selah found herself on the brink—driving at 145 mph toward a barricade, ready to give in to despair.

 

In that moment of desperation, a powerful clarity pierced through the darkness: "You have to go through it, to get through it. Your story will be shared to help others."

That thought became the lifeline that pulled her back. Returning home, she poured out the vodka, her constant companion, and began the long road to healing. Therapy after therapy. Modality after modality. Each step forward added to her strength, reminding her of the power of resilience, community, and purpose.

Selah’s journey of transformation became the foundation for Selah-Vee Mental Health & Wellness.

​

The Mission:
Selah-Vee isn’t just a wellness center; it’s a sanctuary for healing and connection. It’s a safe-haven for those who have endured abuse, homelessness, and/or trauma. A space where teen moms, leaders, and survivors can find support, understanding, and tools to heal.

 

A place where Leaders from all walks of life can hang up their corporate hats, let down their guard, and refill their cups. 

 

A place where Survivors can rewrite their stories of pain into narratives of empowerment.

 

​Here, bruises—both physical and emotional—are met with compassion, not judgment.

A Community of “Soul-Hood”:
Selah-Vee is more than a business; it’s a community of like-minded clinicians, practitioners, lightworkers, and holistic healers united in their mission to transform lives. Together, they offer modalities that honor the mind, body, and soul, creating a space where healing is both personal and collective.

​Selah’s story is a testament to the human spirit’s ability to rise, no matter how heavy the weight of the past. Through Selah-Vee, she extends the sanctuary she wished for in her darkest moments to others, ensuring no one has to walk their journey alone.
